Longevity Medicine
Longevity medicine focuses on healthspan: supporting cardiovascular and metabolic health, hormone balance, nutrition, exercise, sleep and stress management as you age. Evidence for many longevity interventions in humans is still emerging, and Vitality Medicine RX does not claim to slow or reverse aging or lower a 'biological age.' Care is led by Dr. Miklos Major II, Sc.D., DNP, NP-BC, FAAMFM by telehealth in states where he holds an active license. Book a discovery call to learn more.
What longevity medicine is and is not
Longevity medicine is prevention with a long view: identifying and addressing the risk factors most likely to affect how well you function as you age, including cardiovascular, metabolic, hormonal and lifestyle factors.
It is not a promise to slow or reverse aging. Many interventions promoted for longevity have limited human evidence, and that is stated plainly rather than oversold.
Who this care may be right for
Adults in their 30s and beyond who want a structured, data-informed approach to staying healthy as they age, and who are willing to act on labs and lifestyle changes, may benefit.
This care is a complement to your regular clinician, not a replacement for screening or treatment you already receive.
How telehealth longevity care works
You start with a discovery call, then complete a detailed intake. Dr. Miklos Major II, Sc.D., DNP, NP-BC, FAAMFM reviews your history and prior labs, orders appropriate testing, and builds a personalized prevention roadmap.
Follow-up visits and coaching keep the plan on track, with repeat testing to measure change over time.
Labs and testing that may be used
Testing may include advanced lipid panels, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and other cardiovascular markers, metabolic panels, hormone evaluation and micronutrient testing as appropriate.
Testing is chosen selectively based on your history and goals, and outside lab fees are discussed in advance.
Treatment options that may be considered
The foundation of longevity care is nutrition, exercise, sleep and stress management, planned around your labs and goals. Hormone evaluation and, when appropriate, hormone therapy may be part of the picture.
NAD+ support may be discussed when appropriate, with the understanding that evidence for many longevity interventions in humans is still emerging. Supplements and therapies are prescribed only when appropriate after an evaluation.
Safety, risks and ongoing monitoring
Supplements and therapies can interact with medications and conditions, so everything is reviewed in context. Monitoring includes follow-up visits and repeat labs to track cardiovascular and metabolic markers.
Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you have chest pain, stroke symptoms or another emergency, call 911.
Cost of longevity care
Care is provided through our programs and memberships. See the Pricing page for details. Supplements, peptides, medications and outside lab fees are billed separately.
The practice is fee-for-service and does not bill insurance, Medicare or Medicaid. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and superbills are available on request.
